The Student Ministry of Highland Baptist Church – exists to help students know Christ, become disciple makers and impact their campus and culture with the Gospel.  We do this primarily through 3 weekly ministry environments that are detailed below.

ELEVATE is the “first step” we encourage students to take as the get involved with Highland Students.  ELEVATE meets on Wednesday nights from 6:15 PM to 7:10 PM in the Student Building. Doors open at 5:30 so students can hang out and grab some pizza for supper.

During ELEVATE students will experience a welcoming atmosphere, dynamic worship and an engaging message.Students who haven’t been connected to a church before or haven’t been connected in a long time will get a chance to see what Highland Students is all about.  For those students who are weekly attenders, each week will serve as a reminder to them of who God has called us to be and they will be encouraged to live out God’s word on their campus.

ENCOUNTER is our weekly small group Bible study environment that meets on Sundays from 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM in the Firehouse. ENCOUNTER is the “next step” we encourage students to take in their involvement with Highland Students. ENCOUNTER meets just prior to our main Sunday Morning Worship Service that begins at 10:30 AM. ENCOUNTER is designed to help students discover the truth of God’s word and apply that truth to their lives.

ENGAGE meets on Sunday Evenings from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM and serves as the leadership development aspect of Highland Students. ENGAGE provides students with the opportunity to have a hands on role in shaping our ministry as we seek to impact as many students as possible with the good new of the gospel.

Each week at ENGAGE, students will evaluate our ministry and work in ministry teams to plan for the next week or weeks.  Students have the opportunity through ENGAGE to use a variety of abilities and gifts to make an impact for the Kingdom.
