COVID-19 Update

December 3, 2020

Dear Church Family;

Brother Eric asked me to communicate to you our position on the Mississippi Department of Health's statement yesterday, December 2. MDH recommended that people not attend church in person because of a recent spike in cases of Covid-19. Though we have great respect for our state officials, our regular services, Sunday school, and small groups will continue to meet as scheduled at this time. We believe church services are essential.

We do encourage you to follow the CDC guidelines we have all memorized. Use your best judgment about whether or not you should attend in-person services. If you do come, sit with your family and socially distance yourself from others. Please continue wearing your mask when you enter or leave the buildings and throughout the service. If you choose to stay home, watch our services live on YouTube, FaceBook, our website, or our App.

 Even though we have had quite a few cases of Covid among our church members, we have so far not had a congregational outbreak caused by our worshiping together. God has blessed us. Our sanitation efforts and your cooperation have worked so far. Thank you for everything you have done!

Continue praying for the pandemic to end soon, and for the time we can worship in the way we are accustomed. Your staff will persist in taking extra steps to ensure the church is clean while you are here. Please remain aware of the proper precautions and heed the advice of the doctors and leaders of our health system. If we determine that we need to make any changes or cancel any events, we will do so. In the meantime, pray that we can continue in our church’s mission “to love God, love people, and lead others to love God.”
