____________________________________________________________________________  "Summer Jam," will take place on Saturday, June 9th, 2012, in Laurel, MS at Highland Baptist Church. First phase of the event will begin at 10:00 am and go until 3:00 pm with a free car show, motorcycle show, jumps for the kids, free bottled water soft drinks, and hotdogs. There is no entry fee for the car/motorcycle show. Trophies and door prizes will be given away at this event. There also will be a day stage with local bands, HCC, Citizen, Facedown, Driven, & Rumblestrip providing live music.
Second phase of "Summer Jam," begins when the main gates open at 4:00 pm for the main stage. Events for the main stage will begin at 5:00 pm with Godspeed 3, By The Fire, and Building 429. This portion of the event will be ticketed. Tickets are $12 in advance, $10 for groups of 20 or more, and $15 at the gate. Tickets may be purchased in Laurel, MS at Highland Baptist Church 601-428-8494, Bops 601-425-2400, Baptist Bible & Book House 601-649-7682, and X-Treme Hair Salon 601-426-3110, in Waynesboro at Huff-n-Puff Smokehouse 601-735-5050, Richton at The Old Theatre & Music On The Front 601-508-5357, Hattiesburg at C & M Music 601-545-2565 and Mississippi Music 601-264-0150.
ASSOCIATE PASTOR, STUDENTS
 We welcome to our Church Staff Donnie Jones. He and his wife, Ashley, are coming to us from Moffett Road Baptist Church in Mobile, AL. He has worked with children's and students' ministries since 2001, and has a passion for missions, evangelism and for preaching the Word of God. He loves to share his faith and disciple students.
Donnie earned an Associates degree in Communications from Jones County Junior College in 1998, a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from William Carey College in 2001, and will graduate in May 2012 with a Masters of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. We are blessed to have Donnie and Ashley here working with our students in grades 7 - 12. Their first Sunday with us will be April 1st.
The Connection Cafe'
Serving Times will be from 5:15 -6:15 p.m. each Wednesday.
Notice: In order to be better stewards of God's resources, we will ask that you make reservations each week for the Connection Cafe'. Forms are located in the pew racks, in the Worship Guide, or you may call the church office @ 601.428.8493. Everyone will need to make reservations by Monday @ noon for the Wednesday evening meals. Thank you for your assistance in making the work of our Kitchen crew more efficient.
